2 Braided Looks for the Holiday Season

Stylisted - Holiday-inspired Braids

This season, we love pairing simple outfits with a bold lip and unique hairstyle. We’ve teamed up with Chicago Stylisted hairstylist, Christina Gauthier, to transform your ordinary locks into braided looks that shine!

Curious about the red lips in the photo? Find our guide to red lips here – filled with all of our application secrets and top product picks.

– LOOK 1 –

For this look, we wanted to create something that was casual, yet still elegant enough to stand out from every day.

To create the style, Christina added some curl to the hair for a more bouncy, voluminous look. After creating a deep side part, she fishtail-braided a small portion of hair from the side of the part. And that’s it! A fun, full style that should last all night long!

To take this look to an even fancier level, sweep the hair from the opposite side of the part to the back and pin itΒ so that all of your hair is cascading to one side.

Instant glamour!

– LOOK 2 –

Because not all holiday occasions are strictly fancy night out occasions, we wanted to create a hairstyle that would easily transition from a day of holiday shopping to a night on the town.

Here, Christina braided the hair in a dutch braid to show off the thickness and texture of the look.

By sweeping all the hair to one side, we were left with a messy, piecey braid that worked perfectly with a warm winter hat!
