Want a break from your classic foundation? BB Cream, CC Cream, or Tinted Moisturizer may be the product for you. We’re sure you’re wondering which product may be the better option so, we’re going to give you the 411 on each. Don’t be fooled, the BBs and CCs of the world aren’t nearly as tricky as you may think!
Tinted moisturizer is good for all skin types, has a sheer coverage, and a natural finish. If you’re wanting a lightweight product that neutralizes redness and dark spots this is the product for you. This is our favorite tinted moisturizer of the moment.
BB Cream (beauty balm) is for normal to oily skin, has a medium to full coverage, and a matte finish. This product is for someone who wants to cover dark spots, redness, and discoloration. You also get the benefit of oil control, which is especially helpful for us oily girls out there. This is our favorite BB Cream of the moment.
CC Cream (color corrector) is for someone with normal to dry skin, the coverage is sheer to medium, and has a light dewy finish. This product is great for someone who needs a little more hydration. It also corrects the tone of the skin as well as redness and discoloration. This is our favorite CC Cream of the moment.
As always when applying any base product, you want to start off with freshly cleansed and hydrated skin (followed by a primer, if you like). Apply your choice of non-foundation with a brush, BeautyBlender, or your fingers. Then, add concealer where needed and set it all with a translucent powder. This will help your look last all day while staying fuss-free – just like a non-base base should be 😉
