In the spirit of de-cluttering our space this spring, we’ve begun with the most monstrous task of all – our makeup stash. When glancing over at the amount of makeup we’ve been housing, it’s both inspiring (so many fun products to play with!) and overwhelming. As we’ve lately only be adding to our collection, we thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to start to implement a “one-in, one-out” rule. For every product that we add into our collection, we’re forcing ourselves to take a closer look at some of the products we currently own.
Notice we didn’t say “eliminate’ 😉
At least, not right away. We’re testing out the waters of de-cluttering by pushing ourselves to begin to incorporate the product up for removal into our daily routine more frequently. If we fail to use it on a more regular basis after 2 weeks, we’ll toss it.
First up – this old MAC blue eyeshadow. We picked this up many years ago and had some fun using it as a smudgy eyeliner (and straight up blue eyeshadow) back in our college days, but have rarely touched it since. We think it could be fun as a sharper, winged eyeliner now, especially with navy eyeliner as one of our summer must-haves. We’ll be putting it to the test – 2 weeks of use or it’s out!
