Think Pink: The Best Pink Lip Shades for Summer

Stylisted - Think Pink: The Best Pink Lip Shades for Summer

We rarely think to throw on a pink lip, much preferring red or nude (even orange!) to the sometimes-too-girly-looking pink shades. You can read more about our original hesitation towards pink lips here if you’d like but, for some reason, the past few weeks have brought multiple rose-toned products into our life and we just couldn’t resist giving them another go. Without further adieu, here is an edited selection of some of our current favorites.

Stylisted - Think Pink: The Best Pink Lip Shades for Summer

  • Dior Addict Lip Glow – Need we say more about this lovely product? We went on and on and on here, so read up if you haven’t already.
  • Nars Audacious Lipstick in Brigitte – Purchased simply because the name referred to one of our beauty idols, this lipstick has proven itself among the most versatile in our collection. Wear it full force for a bold pink lip that looks mature in a good way, or sheered out for a soft kiss of color.
  • Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in Seduction – This creamy yet matte product is newer to the drugstore, and, probably, the best Revlon launch in a while (they just can’t keep up with L’Oreal these days!). We love it because it tows the line of nude, pink, and brown in a much more flattering way than some of the ’90s-esque shades. As it’s matte, it also lasts fairly well and makes the pink feel a bit more modern.
  • Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dusty Rose – We love all things Nars lip pencils, so this is no surprise. We tend to wear this year-round but find that it looks best with a “no makeup makeup” look because it’s just that natural.
  • Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in 02 – One of our all-time favorite glosses, the Clarins Lip Perfectors glide onto the lips in a way that is never sticky and always plumping – plus, the scent can’t be beat. The 02 shade is the perfect milky pink.
  • Lancome Lipstick – Admittedly, we have no idea how we came to be the proud owner of this little beauty but we can say, we take it with us everywhere. It permanently lives in our handbag to brighten up our complexion whenever we’re starting to feel dreary. While this original one seems to be discontinued, the L’Absolu Rouge in Fleur Impressioniste seems like a worthwhile dupe.
WE’D LOVE TO KNOW, DO YOU WEAR A PINK LIP? WHAT’S YOUR CURRENT FAVORITE?
