The Best in This Year's Holiday Makeup Palettes - Stylisted
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Holiday palettes have hit the shelves at Sephora! 😉
As an introduction to our holiday gift guide series, which you’ll see spread out over the next 2 weeks, we wanted to present an entirely separate post dedicated to an edit of the palettes we love so much. These are perfect to give as a gift to any beauty lover or to just gift yourself – we won’t tell!
Lancome’s Audacity in Paris Palette – This one is the baby of London celebrity MUA, Lisa Eldridge, and contains 16 shades all inspired by the streets of Paris and looks beautiful. From the brief swatching we’ve done, the formulation is there, too. If she has all the Naked palettes, this is definitely the one for her.
Too Faced Le Grand Chateau– This is quite the palette, containing 3 actual eyeshadow palettes, a deluxe Better Than Sex mascara (one of our favorites!), 2 blushes and 1 bronzer. If none of that sells you, the unique packaging will.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Glow Palette – YouTuber Jaclyn Hill designed the (very well regarded & hyped) Champagne Pop shade, which you’ll find in the middle of this palette. The other two shades are limited edition and completely new, so if you’ve got someone in your life who likes to glow, this is the winner. What a stunner.
Nars Steven Klein Collaboration One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette – Nars’ collabs always have us intrigued, and this palette with Steven Klein, is a major winner in our book. Not only do you get to sample four incredibly flattering blushes, Nars also included a contouring duo and their famous Laguna bronzing powder. We’ve already gifted this to ourselves (oops).
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit – You already know how much we love Hourglass (as evidenced by our trio of tutorials with the brand), especially the Ambient Lighting Powders. While this palette is certainly not cheap, it’s one of our favorites, as you get the traditional Ambient Lighting Powders, alongside two Ambient Lighting Blushes and the bronzer. Hourglass is a fairly newer brand (only 10 years old), so this edit is a great intro to the brand’s best products.
Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette – Already a massive contour fan? This palette will help you contour your EYES. Kat Von D is magic in the beauty world, so really anything you get from her is worthwhile.
Laura Mercier Sleek & Chic Eye Colour Palette – We’ll admit, the tortoise shell case is really what drew us in here. However, the shade selection as far as shadows goes is on par with many of our favorite neutral palettes. Perfect for the gal who can never decide which Naked palette to buy.
Which one would you gift yourself this holiday season?
