The Best Hair and Makeup Looks from the 2016 Golden Globes

Awards season is always a favorite time for beauty lovers. We get to see all of our favorite celebrities dressed to the nines and sporting some of the best beauty looks of the season. And, as it’s not as formal as the Oscars, we usually get some surprisingly fun looks out of it. Just like last year (our very first post on this new beauty blog!), we’ve put together a round up of our favorites in hair and makeup from the 2016 Golden Globes.

In no particular order, our Golden Globes 2016 hair and makeup favorites:

Olivia Palermo

We loved her cat eye, peach cheeks, and glowing base, but especially loved the fuschia lip paired with such an interesting dress!

Olivia Wilde

With a bold dress and accessory choice, you’d think Olivia would keep the makeup neutral. But we’re so happy she chose not to! That cranberry smoky eye makes the outfit all the more special, while her loose waves keep it from feeling too done.

Laverne Cox

We love everything about Laverne’s look, from her beautifully tailored white gown to her messy side bun to her deep wine lips to her emerald drop earrings. Stunning!

Jennifer Lopez

A surprising pick for us, as we usually aren’t the biggest fans of J.Lo’s ensembles. We love how the lip and dress play off each other. While we’re not sure about the necklace choice the J.Lo glow keeps everything looking young and fresh, even if the dress isn’t her usual style.

Kirsten Dunst

Another surprising choice for us! Yet this was, without a doubt, our favorite look of the night. Kirsten pulls off the right amount of glam, sophistication, and ’90s goth in this revealing black number and we love it. The smoky eye and glossy hair keep everything from feeling a bit too vampiress.

Rosie Hungtington-Whiteley

Surprise, surprise, a supermodel looked beautiful. The epitome of a golden girl, Rosie wore her long bob in loose waves and kept her makeup natural and glowy. The golden tones of the entire look, however, set her apart as one of the night’s best.

Zendaya

We’ve only recently been captivated by this young starlet but hope she continues on in this direction, as she’s become quite the style star. This look is not only playful and perfect for someone of her young age, but also sophisticated enough to show she truly does know good style.
