New Year's Eve Hair and Makeup Ideas 2016 - Stylisted

Happy (almost) 2017!! What a year! To say we’re looking forward to the new year would be an understatement. What were your top moments of 2016? We’d love to know in the comments below! We’ll be looking back on the past year next week – sharing our favorite posts and top products – but in the meantime, we figured we’d give you some inspiration for the night ahead! While these looks are more focused on those going all out this year, we have something special for those staying in right this way.

MAKEUP

For makeup, we wanted to stick with a natural base (as always) and incorporate a bolder, unexpected element like the vampy lip. Isabella (in the black dress) wore her favorite BB cream, highlighter, bronzer, and neutral blush to start. She finished off the look with this vampy lipstick, lots of lashes, and just a touch of gold shadow on the center of the lid. For those who’d rather play up their eyes, Lauren went with an exaggerated cat eye and a nude lip (this one is our recent fave – it’s so creamy and goes on opaque in just one swipe). As with all things new year’s related, we love going overboard with the sparkly highlighter and Becca’s Champagne Pop is probably the best and the most fitting for the occasion. Add liberally! Why not! Make 2017 bright 😉

HAIR

Once again, we’re not the most adventurous when it comes to hairstyles done ourselves (ideally you’ve already booked a stylist, right?). We kept things simple with straight hair and a deep side part on Isabella and loose, voluminous waves on Lauren. We promise, next time we’ll go crazy on the hair front!
