Monthly must-haves are back! After a brief hiatus thanks to plenty of holiday content, we’re back with one of our favorite series on the blog. One where we encourage you to buy as many new things as possible ;). Oops! Keep reading to find everything we’ve got our eye on at Sephora this month.
– MAKEUP –
Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30 – We love a good tinted moisturizer, but struggle with excessively oily skin from time to time, making it difficult to keep one on our face for longer than an hour. This new release from Nars claims to solve all our problems – oil-free, blurs imperfections and contains Vitamins C & E to keep it a “soft matte” and not something that will leave you dead-looking (for lack of a better word).
BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation – It’s no secret we love Becca’s highlighters and have been excited to venture into more from the line. The backlighting primer, poured powders, eyeshadows, blushes – all supposedly incredible! For now, we’ll just have to settle on this new foundation, which claims to be a light foundation full of luminosity. Sounds like a perfect base for strobing.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Neutralizers – Admittedly, we haven’t tried much from the YSL beauty line (or fashion line, for that matter), though we know just what a big deal the original Touche Eclat is said to be. These Neutralizers, however, seem to be even more over-hyped. Intriguing!
Origins Maskimizer Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer– Who knew you needed a treatment before you applied your treatment?! This brand new (to us) concept may seem like a whole lot of marketing without a real need for the product, but we’re curious nonetheless. It claims to improve spreadability and visibility of masks while hydrating and soothing the skin. Interesting.
Maison Martin Margiela Lipstick On – This has to be one of the most interesting fragrances we’ve heard of in a while. We absolutely love the Replica fragrances from Maison Margiela and this one, “Lipstick On,” couldn’t be more fitting. Based on Chicago in 1952, galbanum, vanilla bourbon, and absolute tonka bean are said to evoke a women’s beauty ritual. It’s not a scent we usually go for – a touch powdery and very feminine, but we have to try it for the name alone.
