Netflix & Chill: Stay In with these 2 easy “I’m not trying too hard” do’s

After the holidays, maybe you and your special someone want to just spend the night staying in for a change…Netflix & chill perhaps? We’ve put together a few easy go-to hairstyles that won’t make it look like you’re trying too hard…the perfect combination of casual yet chic!

The knot so average pony: This style definitely works best with longer medium-longer length locks. All you need is some styling gel/mousse/spray of your choice & a few hair elastics (we recommend those tiny clear ones if you have them). Simply run some product through your layers, part your hair as desired, swoop to one side, knot & secure! Half-up Knot: This is our go-to, quick & easy hairstyle in a pinch…and you can even throw some braids on the side if you’re feeling fancy! The half-up knot can be done on pretty much any length of hair, too. To achieve this look, all you do is take one section of hair from each side of your face & pull them back behind your head (twist them together) & knot! Once you tie your knot, you can tuck the ends under with some bobby pins if desired. You can even go as far to add some texture to your ends with a curling wand.

Topsy Tail Twist: We were only going to show you two styles, but once we thought of this style, we knew it would be a great option for those of you who still want a bit more of a romantic feel to your night in! This look can be achieved with pretty much any type of hair (long/short, curly/straight, etc.) The topsy tail has been around for quite some time now, and normally gets a bad wrap – but this is definitely a winning play on the do. Simply create a half ponytail and secure it with an elastic – topsy tail it! Then, create a second topsy tail ponytail over the first – you’re done! We recommend lightly curling your hair prior to styling to create even more of a romantic feel.
