Is Grey Hair The New Blonde?

Stylisted - Is Grey Hair The New Blonde?

Grey is in this season!

For years, women have been dying their hair to prevent it from turning grey. This fall, however, grey is starting to become the new blonde.

It is true women are dying their hair grey. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Zayn Malik, Pink, are all frosting their hair with grey and ice colored tones.

It is important, though, when making the choice to go grey, to consult your stylist and find out the proper hair care regime and products you will have to use on your hair before taking the plunge.

Luckily, We have the tricks to maintain your silver or grey. It is crucial after dying your hair grey to use a silver toned shampoo to maintain the bright grey or silver color, like one of the following:

Klorane Silver Highlights Shampoo – is perfect for silver hair. It keeps your color vibrant and bright, while also not leaving a stain in your shower. This shampoo can be used regularly.

BioSilk Cleanse Silver Lights Shampoo – This shampoo gives a deeper cleanse to your hair. It contains high levels of E, C, and A Vitamins that will give life back to your dry hair while keeping the correct color.

One ‘n Only Silver Shampoo – This product (originally from the Conair Professional series) is ultra-conditioning. It contains elements of grapefruit, lavender, and lemon. All of those elements help to restore and keep your hair naturally shiny. This shampoo also smells amazing!

Phyto Phytoargent Shampoo – This product will help to bring out the natural highlights your hair now has since being dyed. It is plant based and will restore strength back to your hair.  This one however if not rinsed off quickly, might stain your shower so make sure to rinse it completely after washing.

Shimmer Lights – This is one of the best shampoos for grey hair on the market.  While amazing for your hair, only use this shampoo occasionally, once a month for example. When your hair is starting to appear a bit yellow or brassy, pull out this shampoo to make ensure that your grey stays nice and silver. This product is a bit tricky though because it has been seen to stain so rinse your shower immediately after use.
