How To Pack A New Orleans Travel Makeup Bag - Stylisted
Stylisted is doing some serious traveling in the next week (we hope you’ll follow along on Instagram!), so we thought we’d show you what we’ll be bringing with us during our travels. First up: New Orleans for a girls’ weekend away.
A city of soul and sun – two things we can’t wait to be a part of. After months of Chicago winter, we’re ready to embrace the warmth and lose a layer or two. Does anyone even remember what’s underneath the floor-length parka? Since we’ll be hanging with our girlfriends all weekend, we’re keeping things casual and fun on both the beauty and style fronts. We chose a neutral palette (surprise surprise) and kept things light and peachy, though knowing us, we’ll pop in a red lipstick just in case 😉
IN OUR TRAVEL BAG: NEW ORLEANS:
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua: The base of all bases. Shake well, use one squirt, and apply with fingers for breathable coverage.
NARS eyeshadow duo in Alahambra: This duo is perfect for creating an illuminating eye (making it look like you slept much longer than you actually did). Use the two shadows separately or combine for a warm peach hue.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Liner in Nude: Nothing brightens up tired eyes like this. Line the lower waterline and watch your redness disappear. It’s magic, and essential for a weekend girls’ trip.
Clarins Instant Natural Light Lip Perfector in 02: A balmy gloss with the perfect amount of shine and the sweetest smell that seriously lingers. This is one of those products that just feels nice. If you’re looking to make a statement, this isn’t the winner, but it’s the nicest low maintenance lip.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: We’ve finally purchased a new mascara after living off of Sephora samples and 100 point perks for the last few months (unfortunately not joking here). We’re always intrigued by Maybelline mascaras though we’re undecided on this one. It’s good, but we don’t know if it will be a repeat buy just yet.
What are your travel makeup bag essentials? Do they vary based on the trip?
