Exciting times over here for our blog editor – she’s off to Sweden and Denmark for the next week on an end-of-summer vacation! Don’t you worry, blog posts will continue as normal while she’s out. You may even notice an increase in timeliness of posts! We’re trying out a new scheduling system ;).
ANYWAY, on to more important things: what to pack in your carry-on bag for your next European vacation!
We’re firm believers in making the most of your time on your plane across the pond. We take full advantage of all of those hours by treating our skin to as much hydration as it can possibly handle. Of course, we’re talking about our favorite overnight hydrating mask, but there is so much more! Here’s what we consider essentials (and the proper breakdown in application) during the flight:
We prep our skin in advance by using a body scrub in the shower, pumicing the heels, and adding a deep conditioning hair mask to our hair. We use an overnight hydrating mask fairly regularly anyway, but find it especially helpful to do so in days leading up to our flight. Finish off with a rich hand cream, eye cream, and lip mask. Like we said – alllll the hydration ;).
In our travel carry-on bag, we come prepared with everything you might need to prep and pamper your skin & hair. Here’s what our normal routine looks like once it’s safe to move about the cabin:
As we’re about to land, we like to head to the bathroom for a touch-up. Here’s what the process looks like from here:
And that’s it! We know it seems like it’s a lot of work, but the process goes by quickly and you always leave the flight feeling as refreshed as possible after a long plane ride.
