After a weekend of too much indulging on sweets and salts, we were excited to get back into our regular routine of smoothie drinking. This recipe has been our go-to lately, as it delivers on the flavor front and feels like you’re actually doing something good for your body. Best of all, we know it’s one we’ll keep going back to because it’s easy to make, requiring only 4 ingredients. Click through for the full recipe!
Step 1: Gather your ingredients. For this recipe, you’ll need a cup or so of chopped, frozen pineapple (tip: Trader Joe’s does all of these ingredients so well & reasonably priced – and no, this isn’t sponsored by them). You also need a hearty handful of baby spinach, a scoop or two of plain Greek yogurt, and a splash of coconut water. Very specific ingredients over here ;). Really, we just played around with the amounts until we found something we liked. Trial and error is best in cooking – nothing has to be perfect!
Step 2: Pile those ingredients in to your blender! We add spinach, Greek yogurt, and then pineapple usually, but choose whatever you prefer.
Step 3: Add in your coconut water (coconut milk also works fine!) and begin mixing until you get the perfect consistency! You may need to give this a couple tries depending on your mixer. You don’t want it to be too clumpy!
