Happy Valentine’s Day, friends!
While this holiday isn’t for everyone, we like to think of it as a nice reminder to be kind to yourself and treat yourself to something extra special. For us, that means one of our favorite bold lips or trying out a new hairstyle. Since we always rock a bold lip, a romantic Valentine’s Day hair style is the perfect mix up to every day. We’ve rounded up 14 of our favorite looks today to give you some inspiration of your own. Don’t worry – you don’t need to be a pro to do these by any means, though we always recommend calling in the pros, especially if you do have a hot date tonight ;).
We like this look for every day (it’s so easy), but it’s a much more romantic take on the average gym pony and only takes a few extra minutes to put together.
We probably could have come up with a better name for this one, admittedly. Though we can’t hide our love for it. This is by far our favorite of all of today’s looks. I mean, does it get any more romantic than this messy braid within a braid? If you wear this and don’t have plans, take yourself to dinner because this braid deserves to be seen.
The halo braid is one of the most interesting-looking braids, in our opinion – and it’s pretty simple to do! Pair with a bold lip and an all black outfit and the braid adds a touch of Valentine’s Day sweetnees.
We worked with Liz Adams of Sequins & Stripes and makeup artist and hair stylist, Bev Zychowski, to put this pretty hair style together a few years ago. The tutorial is still available on Liz’s blog if you’re interested in attempting it yourself!
For those who aren’t keen on washing their hair daily, this messy bun is the perfect solution. The more volume the better!
Okay, we lied. This is the hairstyle we’ll be wearing this Valentine’s Day. The perfect mix of glamorous and sophisticated, this twist is our favorite.
This look is from our first ever partnership with Lauren Kelp. We still love this look even though we’ve learned that crown braids aren’t the most flattering for our baby face. Find the tutorial here.
Easy, cute, and give you a chance to show off something sparkly.
We love the fishtail braid because it looks like you really tried but it’s actually quite simple. If you’re looking to impress, this may be the one for your one (okay, we’ll stop with the cheesy lines). Find the tutorial here.
Nothing wrong with sticking with what you know! We’re all about this twisted take on the classic pony with a structured outfit – especially if you and your date are just getting to know each other.
If not now, when? Now’s the time to dip dye your hair pink in the name of love!
Look at that cute bow! We’ve talked about our love for adult bows before (that sounds weird…adults who wear bows, we mean), so it’s no surprise that we included it in this list. It’s low maitenance and still fun.
